Sadie and Softball

Our little Sadie is growing up so quick! Actually she's just getting fat. The switch to dry food has, um well, made her real healthy! The pictures show how much she has grown, the first is one about a week after we got her, the second is last week. She's definitely going to be a big girl. She's enjoying the nice weather and being outside, she's a sweet dog, but still hasn't mastered the fetch command. She does like the treats though.
We spent Saturday at the ball park, it's that time again. The boys are off to a pretty good start, by the end of the season they'll be winning them all!
Thanks for all the prayers for my grandmother, she's out of the hospital now and doing better. We're all learning to deal with the fact that she will never be the same old Maw Maw that we've always known, but are thankful that she's sleeping and eating better. We now know that along with the diabetes and kidney problems that she has congestive heart failure. They say she it will only worsen with time, but that we could still have many months and maybe years with her. She came back to Columbus for a visit this weekend. We had 10 people sleeping at our house....quite interesting to say the least!

Pictures and Prayers

So have I mentioned lately how busy life can get? I didn't know it could go this fast! Although things are incredibly busy I'm trying to take it one day at a time, I don't want to miss any of life's "little moments." We took engagement pictures this week courtesy of the most wonderful cousin in the world :) I'm posting a couple of the ones that he left me...sneaky kid, he wants to "edit" the rest.
I also want to make a petition to all you prayer warriors out there. My grandmother is back in the hospital again and not doing too well. My prayer is that I won't be selfish and to pray for God's will in regards to her...but I'm struggling with this a little, she's my last grandparent and by golly, I want her at my wedding. Anyway, please keep her and my family in your prayers.

Dogs and Showers

It's been crazy busy the past few weeks and every time I turn around I say, "I need to add this to our blog." Obviously I haven't added anything to the blog, but here I am and here it goes. We have a new dog, Sadie. She's so sweet, if you get right down to it she's really a mut, but we like to call her a boxer (don't call her a mut to her face, she's really sensitive about the matter :) She's grown so much in the short time we've had her. She's turning in to quite a little chunk, but so very sweet and incredibly easy to love. I'll add some pictures of our darling little girl this weekend.

I've also now had 3 showers in less than seven days! Talk about a whirl-wind. It's really fun getting presents, and so touching to know that people care enough to give. The LORD has blessed us with so much. It's really not the gifts, although I'm not giving them back, but the people who have really made me feel so special and loved. So on behalf of Steve and me, we love you all and thank each and everyone of you from the bottoms of our heart for your love and support. I'll post more pictures from the showers this weekend, I don't have my camera with me, sorry! By the way, we are now set on hand mixers, we have 3 so if you need one just let us know;)
